Editorial policy
Our standards for sourcing, corrections, independence, conflicts of interest and the use of AI tools.
Sourcing
Claims are attributed to identifiable sources. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is in the public interest and the risk to the source is real.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected with a visible note stating what changed and when. We do not silently edit published facts.
Independence and conflicts
Journalists disclose holdings relevant to their coverage and may not trade securities they write about within a defined window.
Opinion versus reporting
Commentary is labelled Opinion, carries a byline, and is argued from disclosed evidence.
Use of AI
Automated tools may assist with data processing and formatting. Every published sentence is reviewed and approved by a human editor who is accountable for it.
